Chilli Beef

Main Ingredients: Lean Beef, Garlic, Fresh Chillies, Fish Sauce, Oyster Sauce
Time Required: 1 hour 30 minutes
Serves: 2

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of Lean Beef sliced into thin strips
  • 2 cloves of finely chopped Garlic
  • 3 Fresh Chillies chopped
  • 2 Shallots chopped
  • 2 tablespoons of Fresh Basil
  • 2 teaspoons of Fish Sauce
  • 2 teaspoons of Oyster Sauce
  • Salt to taste
  • 6-8 tablespoons of Water
  • 4-6 teaspoon of Vegetable Oil
  • Instructions:

    (1) In a wok or pan heat the oil and stir fry the garlic until it is golden.

    (2) Then add in the chilli and cook for another minute.

    (3) Add in the beef, fish sauce, oyster sauce, water and salt. Simmer and cook for a few minutes until the beef is tender.

    (4) Stir in shallots and basil, and stir fry for 30 seconds and serve.

    Note: Originally Chinese dish with Pakistani adaptation.
