Steak Gilardi

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds (908 grams) Round Steak
  • 2 pounds (908 grams) Crushed Plum Tomatoes
  • Fresh Garlic
  • Oregano
  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste
  • Crushed Red Pepper
  • Parmesan Cheese
  • Olive Oil
  • Instructions:

    (1) Take two pounds of round steak and cut into medallions.

    (2) In skillet with lid, heat olive oil, three to four cloves garlic and round steak medallions until brown.

    (3) Then add two pounds of crushed plum tomatoes. Add about one tablespoon oregano, crushed red pepper (optional), salt and pepper to taste.

    (4) Simmer for about one and a half hours.

    (5) Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Eat and enjoy over rice or your favorite pasta.
